Assigning Track Administrators

Welcome to the Track Administrator Guide

This section explains how to assign track administrators (track team members) who can create, edit, and manage content for their assigned track pages.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Create and manage Track Teams

  • Assign users as track administrators

  • Understand how assigned users access their dashboard to manage track pages

Use this guide if you’re an IHRA admin or editor responsible for giving users permission to manage specific track content.

Overview

A Track Team links a track with one or more users responsible for maintaining its information.
Each team defines who can create, edit, or update the content for that specific track page.

Administrative users with permission to manage track teams — such as the Membership Manager or other authorized roles — are responsible for assigning users to these teams.

By assigning users to a Track Team, administrators determine who can create, edit, and manage each track’s page.

For Administrators (Membership Manager or Similar Roles)

  1. Log in to the admin area.

  2. Go to Trackside → IHRA → Track Teams
    (Direct link: /admin/content/track-teams)

  3. You’ll see a list of existing track teams (or an empty list if none exist yet).

  4. Click Add Track Team to create a new one.

  5. Fill in the required fields:

    • Select the track this team will manage.

    • Add one or more users who will be responsible for that track page.

  6. Click Save to finish.

After saving, the assigned users automatically gain permission to create and edit the track page for that track.

For Track Team Members

Once a user has been added to a track team:

  • When they log in, they’ll see a dashboard icon on the right side of the page.

  • Clicking it opens their Dashboard (you can also go directly to /dashboard).

  • The dashboard shows links to create, edit, and view their assigned track pages.

This allows track team members to easily manage only the pages they’re responsible for, without needing full admin access.

Tip

You can assign multiple users to the same track if it’s managed by a team.
Removing a user from a track team automatically removes their editing rights for that track’s page.
