Update block

The Update Block component is designed to display a structured list of versioned or date-based updates. It is ideal for showcasing amendments, errata, patch notes, or log-style records tied to documents, rulebooks, technical manuals, or event schedules.

Each update item consists of a required date, an optional page number, and a required update message (rich text). The entire block can optionally include a title and a subheading/tagline to provide additional context for the list.

Editors can dynamically add multiple update items under a single update block, making it useful for ongoing change tracking.

All fields except the date and update text are optional, making it highly flexible for different use cases such as:

• Simple date-based announcements

• Detailed rulebook corrections (with page references)

• Technical revision logs

• Competition or safety guideline changes

Best used for:

• IHRA Rulebook updates or errata

• Technical inspection changes

• Event guide clarifications

• General notices grouped by timeline

Tips:

• Use the page number field when referencing printed guides or manuals

• Keep update messages clear and concise — use bullets for multiple changes

• Sort entries chronologically (oldest to newest or vice versa depending on context)

• Consider breaking into multiple blocks if the list becomes long
